Minimum Qualifications: Equivalent to partial high school education, or comparable to brief vocational training.
Work Experience: At least three months in food service.
Aptitudes: Must be able to read, write, and speak English in order to communicate effectively. Must have knowledge of cash register and be able to accurately handle money. Must have knowledge of some food preparation. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships and communication levels with co-workers, supervisors, administration, and the general public.
Function: Operates cash register and serves customers in the employee cafeteria.
Essential Responsibilities: Services food and beverages to cafeteria customers. Operates cash register according to standard procedure. Collects cash, meal tickets, and guest tickets. Makes change as required. Prepares some foods and beverages for meal service. Maintains a neat and orderly work area. Stocks all necessary items during and after meal periods.
